~moving on and on~

this week ~

is really picture week for me, starting with a temple in India
moving on to Spain at Siesta time,

and now ending the week with a walk through Trier

Trier ~ i didn't know anything about the town before i went there last week, i didn't even expect to find its name in the Lonely Planet Europe, and was surprised to learn that it is Germany's oldest town, home of an Unesco world heritage site: the Porta Nigra, 'an imposing city gate that dates back from the times when Trier was the second in importance to Rome in the Western Roman Empire'. i had no idea.

when i finished the Trier animation, i felt like sharing these pictures, posted the link in a travel forum, and got more feedback than i expected. same with the India pictures, and the logfiles tell me that both links have started to travel through the net on their own, which is great ~ this spreading of the pictures, of the sights and thoughts, this connecting around the world, this seeing how things are moving on and on...

and more movement to come, in the cyber world, and in the real world: i already have an idea for the next animation, and i am already packing my bags again, for a weekend in Austria that is waiting around the corner, two days in the mountains, which feels just like the right place to go right now for me
