~sky & simplify~ Sunday, 31th December 2006 it's the last day of the year ~ and it's Sunday. somehow fitting, for the year to end on Sundays. like last year, i thought about what to send out as new year mail - and had this idea to try to put together a series of sunrise photos, the ones i take from the window here. here some of them - all taken from the same place, from the window right here, and all with a different mood:
when it works out, i will put together a collage of 3x3 photos, going through all seasons. while searching for the fitting pictures, i went through the photo files of this year, which was so colourful. also i received a mail from a friend, in reply to a mail i sent about the Christmas dramas around here. she currently is in a similar situation, said she has been listening to, or battling other people's drama - and included some lines of her horoscope 2007 which were about the very d-theme: “Drama kings and drama queens may try to seduce you into the crazy chaos they stir up through their addiction to pain, but you'll be pretty immune to their temptations. it almost seems that they form the mood of this month: self-made-dramas. and strange to see it that way, that drama isn't not only something that is happening to someone, but something the one inside of it has a part of, especially when it comes to relations. ...and now i just have to take another window photo – i want to include one of today in the photo series. and it's just about sunrise time. 8.38. the skies are beautiful, like floating honey, or paint.
i just hope the skies stay calm: the weather forecast warned of storms of rains in the coming night. which would be too bad, with all the fireworks waiting to lighten the sky. oh, and a i came across 43 things again. it's perfect for getting together a list of new year's resolutions. one line i especially liked was: “visit 12 new places in the city i live in” and also this: “simplify my life” and this one... a funny line i received today from a friend to whom i sent the 43 things link: “43 things is a cool way to look at it - others doing what you say you want to do. cool.” ~~~~~~~~~ | |||
