~a rough plan, a backpack and a ticket~

"one day ~

i will go to India again, when the time is right, and it will be great again, and terrible, and moving, and awesome, and dirty, and unbelievable, and heartcracking, and soulsmoothing, and mindtrembling, and all of this at the same time"

that's what i wrote one year ago, when i was just back from my first trip to India and dreamed of going again, even though i hadn't even arrived back home yet

and now this "one day" is only one day away. tomorrow i will go again, my plane leaves Stuttgart at seven am, and will reach India at eleven pm. the midnight touchdown will definitely add to the surreality of this day.

the starting point of my trip will be the same like last year: Mumbai. i even will stay in the same road, in the same house: Bentley's Hotel, a place that comes with "private bath rooms having shower with hot water and western toilet". just the little extra comfort i probably will be thankful to have on my first night in the Eastern world.

last time, i spent several days in Mumbai, and moved on to the North from there, towards Rajasthan, towards the Maharajah forts and the Shekhawaki Havelis, on to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal, and to Varanasi, the holy city at the Ganges River.

this time it will be the South: the beach of Goa, the backwaters of Kerala, the palace of Mysore, the ruins of Hampi. or something like that.

as always, no fixed route, just a rough plan, a backpack and a ticket that tells me i have to be back in Mumbai February 5th to catch my flight back home.

and so i go
with the flow

life's a journey
and this is my next destination or so

next: Milano, Italy or Mumbai, India
