~making my mind an ocean~

Friday, 31st January 2003

Jaipur is the pink capital city of this colourful region
named Rajasthan, and i am staying here in the Pearl Palace ~ and actually felt like a seashell in the ocean when i woke up this morning, as it is raining today which feels sort of strange after all the sun in the last days

but it is okay, i guess my senses really need a break anyway and so i spend a slow day taking some pictures of Jaipur...

...and sitting in restaurants and drinking tea and eating Indian snacks and reading a bit and writing a bit and just giving the mosaic of memories that is moving in my mind in wide endless circles some space and time to settle down to form sand dunes on the bottom of my thoughts ~

or to float into some lyric lines
of poems that come without rhymes:

woken by the whispering
of the palace of the winds
carried away by the rings of reflections
in the coloured puddles of desert rain
lost and found in a maze
of orange and pink streets

Do

ps... no i didn't win the lottery or marry a Maharaja ~ the Pearl Palace is just a normal hotel, but a funky one, they
have a tourist leaflet for the guests that is titled "Jaipur for aliens" and they have a rooftop garden that comes with a fort view and art chairs
