~i met Jesus at a train station~

Tuesday, 4th February 2003

India is a sea of adventures and Agra is an island in the stream and i feel like a wave travelling through time
.

this is what happened in just the last couple of days:
i met Jesus at a train station, i wandered through a world wonder, i got sick and got healed in a day and i nearly
burned my guesthouse down...

okay i will elaborate a bit... even so i really do start to like those little riddles that are so common for India... never expect to get just one easy answer to a question here. you always get three different ones and they might not be what you want but sometimes they are what you need and so being here actually is a bit like quizzing through a life size riddle.

but back to the travel tales:

i wandered through a world wonder ~
i visited the Taj Mahal ... or rather.. i saw it and was in tears because it is so unbelievable beautiful and touching. you can still feel the love that was there when it was built, even so crushing a kingdoms budget is probably not the sanest way to deal with the death of a beloved wife. oh and i was asked to be in a photograph several times there.. still don't quite understand it, but then as i take so many pictures of India, i think it's just fair that India takes some pictures of me, too...

i met Jesus in a train station ~
well i just met him. he waited for the same train like i did and was from Spain and his name was Jesus

i got sick and got healed in a day ~
okay, there was this long bus ride and some probably not so wisely picked street food... but then mostly there was this
bottle of whiskey someone in the guesthouse brought along and ... well... guess me got one or three glasses too many but due to some green tablets was able to smile again in the late afternoon of the following day

i nearly burned my guesthouse down:
it was due to a power failure and the fact that i didn't want to shower in the dark that i brought that candle in the bathroom... and i put it on a board where it could shed some light... and that was beneath one of those cable knots... and they started to toast... but luckily i noticed before anything more happened than me being shocked about my abilities to start a fire in the only tiled room of the guesthouse

have to go now... the sunset at the Taj is calling, and you don't want to miss this natural light show
